Renaissance Tarot Deck Review

I finally got my second tarot deck . The "Renaissance Tarot Deck" . It is one of my favorite tarot decks apart from the Rider White Tarot . I feel the same connection with both of them and till now these are the only two decks i use in my divination practice . So ... i first saw this tarot deck being used by a Gypsy witch in Romania (in a video) and i fell in love with it . Her tarot deck was overly used and the cards were very very old . After i saw the video i began to search for the name of the deck and i found out that was the "Renaissance Tarot Deck" by Brian Williams . I purchased a deck on Ebay and finally its here . The deck is like all the other tarot deck plus two "introductory" cards . The images are amazing and i really love the golden frame they all have . Even the printed version have the golden glowing effect . The back of the card is colorless but still it has a great vintage effect and its full of symbolism . The major and minor Arcana are inspired by the Helenic Pantheon of Greek Mythology . The symbols in the cards are somehow different from the others and so is their meaning . The card names are written in English and in Italian too and in some of the minor Arcana , on the borders of the page , you can see that is written (in Italian and English) the basic meaning of the card . As for the major Arcana the card of the card of the "Judgement" is represented as "The Angel" and the "Wheel of Fortune" as "The Chance" . And in the minor Arcana session the "pentacles" are represented as the "coins" as in other many tarot decks . The colors of this deck remind me of the Renaissance Italian legendary paintings full of life and colors . I have done some readings with my new deck and like my old one i feel it easy to connect with the cards so they can speak to me their meaning . This is an extraordinary deck and its a "Must Have" for all tarot collectors or tarot readers . Some editions are sold along with an explanatory book about the deeper meaning , symbolism and the artwork of the cards . Maybe in the future i will link a service so that i can do tarot readings to the clients online too . See you in the next blog roll . Love and Light .
